A week after going live we have a number of students powering through the African Accounting Academy.
This week, we chatted with one the first students to enrol, Edwin, to find out a bit about him and why he joined the African Accounting Academy.
Haystack: What university do you go and what is your major?
Edwin: I am currently student at the Adventist University of Central Africa, in the final year of my studies. I’m pursuing a degree in Business Administration, with a major in Accounting. I expect to graduate in 2019.
Haystack: Why did you join the African Accounting Academy?
Edwin: I joined the African Accounting Academy because I want to gain valuable practical training that will prepare me for a career in the field of accounting and finance.
Haystack: What is one thing you want to learn from the program?
Edwin: The thing that I want to learn the most from the program is using advanced operations in Excel as well as QuickBooks online.
Haystack: What are your career aspirations?
Edwin: I aspire to be a Certified Public Accountant, and my dream job is to become a CFO of a public company or bank.
